The annual general meeting will take place at 9:00 a.m. We want to hear from you. This is your opportunity to ask questions, put forward ideas and get involved in the organization. We value your participation! A financial report will be provided and the slate of officers presented. If you are passionate about keeping the festival alive, consider volunteering for the Board. We need new members and fresh ideas.

Seminar 2 – 11:45 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. – Romeo & Juliet in the Valleys

Join author Barrie Doyle for this fascinating seminar about Wales’ own Romeo and Juliet. He will explore the ill-fated love of poet, Wil Hopcyn, and Ann Thomas, also known as the Maid of Cefyn Ydfa.

Gwladfa: Gwilym Bowen Rhys
In this 2 hour documentary, Welsh folk musician Gwilym Bowen Rhys travels to Patagonia to discover the history of the Welsh settlers who emigrated there in 1865. The Welsh language is still alive in many areas and Gwilym is inspired by the history, language, music and culture as he meets many of the locals.  A repeat showing of the film will happen on Friday afternoon.

Pre-Banquet Reception – Derbyniad cyn bant – 4:30 – 5:00 p.m.

Join us for drinks between 4:30 – 5:00 p.m. before heading into the Banquet.

Gold Award Banquet – Gwledd y Wobr Aur – 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Honouring this year’s Gold Award Recipient, Gwen Davies Dodson, the banquet is held between 5:00-7:00 p.m.

The banquet meal includes starter, dessert and tea or coffee. Prices are inclusive of tax and gratuities.  All meal selections, including children’s meals, must be noted with your registration and received by April 9, 2025. No banquet tickets will be available at the registration desk.
