Established in 1961, the Ontario Gymanfu Ganu Association was formed to provide an annual gathering place for the Welsh diaspora in Ontario to celebrate traditions from Wales. Over the years, subsequent generations have continued to come together once a year to celebrate these traditions from the Noson Lawen to the Cymanfu Ganu, and of course a world-class choir from Wales comes to join us in song.
As we move into the 21st century, our dream is to see the Festival thrive and grow. You don’t have to be Welsh to attend! All are welcome to come and immerse themselves in the Welsh experience.
The Ontario Welsh Festival is governed by an elected Board of Directors. The current Board is listed on the Board of Directors page.
